Govt warns of serious phishing attack starting today. Beware of these email ids

  • The new advisory claims that the phishing attack will be done in the guise of Covid-19 related directives
  • These cyber-attacks will be focused on both individuals and business organisations ranging from small to large

There is an imminent threat of a massive phishing attack in India, according to the Cert-In. The new phishing attack could imitate government organisations and can steal sensitive personal data and financial information.
The new advisory claims that the phishing attack, conducted by "malicious actors", will be done in the guise of a Covid-19 related directive and it is expected to begin on 21 June. These cyber-attacks will be focused on both individuals and business organisations ranging from small to large.
The phishing campaign is expected to use malicious emails under the pretext of local authorities in charge of dispensing government-funded Covid-19 support initiatives. Such emails are designed to drive recipients towards fake websites where they are deceived into downloading malicious files or entering personal and financial information," CERT-In said in a statement.

The attackers are expected to claim to be a part of the financial aid being rolled out by the government to deal with Covid-19. They could ask for sensitive personal information as well as banking information which can later easily be put to use to conduct thefts. The advisory claims that these malicious actors have up to 20 lakh email IDs of individuals.
The advisory states that these cybercriminals are “planning to send emails with the subject free Covid-19 testing for all residents of Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad, inciting them to provide personal information." These email IDs are expected to look a lot similar to official government domains and can easily be mistaken for the original. The advisory claims an email ID like 'ncov2019@gov.in' could be used in the phishing attack.

The government agency tasked with cybersecurity also listed some guidelines for the users to follow. The agency claims, users shouldn’t download or open attachments from unsolicited emails and even refrain completely from clicking on URL within such emails. Even if the mail is expected or the cause seems genuine, its best practice to go to the original website and access the page.
Users can even check for spelling mistakes or irregularities within the email. Most phishing emails offer some kind of reward or prize. The recipient should not submit their personal or banking details to such mails....

No Tobacco Day: Stop Smoking in Public - 70% of cancer is caused by passive smoking

Right after India became the part of WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control on February 27, 2005, the smoking has been completely banned in the public places with a few exceptions for the place like a bar, pub, airports etc.

In fact, the advertisement promoting smoking has been banned and a request to remove smoking areas from the airports and hotels are in talks as well.

Though it is a punishable offence if you smoke in the no smoking area, people just don’t seem to care. Even the police let them free after… you know.

I wish the people stop smoking in crowded places where the chances of one inhaling the smoke are high. There should be a smoking area and proper ventilation for the same.

The area made for smoking must be fully four-walled and separated from the main building. The entrance gate must have automatically closing doors and the building should have a good airflow system which directs air towards outside and it must not mix with any other buildings nearby. The building should have an exhaust ventilating system and air cleaning system. They should be installed in such a manner that air should not permeate into the non-smoking areas of the building.

What is more annoying is that India has the second most number of deaths through tobacco and the Indian women rank second in the global list of top countries having women smokers.

A possible Iron Man cameo has been spotted in the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer

Spidey’s in for a big surprise in Far From Home if this fan theory rings true

We’re a little over a month away from seeing the return of the webhead in Spider-Man: Far From Home, and while that anticipation starts to bubble over, an eagle-eyed fan has been on the lookout for blink-and-you’ll-miss-it secrets. And, oh boy, have they found a doozy.
According to one theory, there’s a hidden Iron Man cameo in the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer. Are multiverses colliding? Unfortunately, it’s something a lot less jaw-dropping than that, but could still be a shock to Peter Parker all the same.
As pointed out by lessthanhero32 on Reddit, a quick shot in the latest trailer shows Peter Parker putting on some slick-looking shades. They’re not just there to block out the light. In fact, the specs don’t look too dissimilar to Tony Stark’s normal pair filled with all sorts of fancy gadgets and gizmos.
However, there’s something hiding in that scene. if you freeze it at just the right moment, you see a reflection that *definitely* looks like a projection of Iron Man popping through the glasses. Take a look for yourself.

So, let’s talk about the (iron) elephant in the room. Tony Stark died in Avengers: Endgame. No, I’m still not over it either – and neither is Peter judging by the trailer’s tone – but that doesn’t mean it’s goodbye 3000.
Spidey getting one final message from his mentor to push him forward as a hero would certainly make sense. Not only would it be a nice bookend on RDJ’s run in the MCU, but it also explains why Pete is looking so darned shocked as soon as he puts on the glasses.
Or… you know, it could just be a trick of the light. Still, Iron Man rocking up one more time in Spider-Man: Far From Home is infinitely more interesting – and it would be up there with one of the most emotional moments in Marvel history.

PUBG Mobile: Top Five Features Expected to Arrive with 0.13.0 Update

Attention all PUBG players! A new update is upon us! From what we know, the new 0.13.0 update for PUBG Mobile is going to roll out tomorrow. The same version was recently rolled out for the beta users and brings a bunch of new features to the popular battle royale game. Tencent had officially released official patch notes for the update as well, although it was said that they are strictly for the beta version and there might be changes in the final update.

So while we wait in anticipation, we have listed down the top five features that are expected to arrive with the 0.13.0 update. Again, there is a possibility that some of these features or additions might not arrive in the final update as this list is based on the beta version of the update.
Godzilla Event with Deathmatch Mode
PUBG Mobile recently released a video announcing a partnership with the upcoming movie Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters. The new update is expected to bring a special event as a part of the crossover which includes a new loading screen, new avatars and avatar frames, and a new event mode called Team Deathmatch. The new mode allows two teams to play against each other with unlimited respawns. The team that has the maximum number of kills in what looks like a 9-10 minute match. There is also a special easter egg where you can actually see Godzilla lurking around in the water when you spawn in Erangel and you can also spot giant footprints on the map

We could also see the addition of a new gun yet again called the Bizon. This is already available on PUBG PC and is a Russian submachine gun fitted with a large capacity helical magazine. It takes 9mm ammo and while it isn’t confirmed, it could be restricted to Erangel and Vikendi maps.

Kar98k Lab Skin
The Terror Fang Kar98k looks really impressive and will be offered in the gun lab with up to seven research that you can achieve by gathering paint and materials from crates and rewards. This will be the 5th gun after the two M416, M16A4 and the UZI that can be customised in the gun lab

The snow-covered map of Vikendi will finally be out of beta and will be fully downloadable. This means that there should be fewer glitches and bugs on the map. Also, a new secret cave has also been unlocked new Podvosto which gives you access to level 3 loot as well as rare guns like AWM and AUG A3. There is no entrance, but if you use a snowmobile or a bike you can go right through to reach the loot. The map has also been updated to show tracks on snow, which is pretty neat.

Survive Till Dawn Update
We are also expecting new updates to the zombie mode and according to the patch notes that were released, the Tyrant, G, Licker and Zombie Cop will be removed in Survive Till Dawn and will be replaced with new zombies. The freezing fog from Liquid Nitrogen Mine will now last longer and all units that pass through will move at a slower speed. Also, the Tank will now enhance all the nearby zombies and the Skinner will now use an ability that reduces movement speed of nearby players. There is also a new building called the Abandoned Factory which will contain lots of resources but also has a new boss.

For more info, check out the video posted by YouTuber Mr. Ghost Gaming who gives an early look at the 0.13.0 update on beta.

Samsung Galaxy M40 will launch on June 11th in India with Infinity-O display

In a market where notches were once the hot thing, there’s not as many of them out there now. With the sizes of the original notch being decreased almost every quarter, the notch has now either been reduced to teardrops or crazy pop-up sliding panels. In a market saturated with display specifications charting new ranks every launch, Samsung announced the upcoming Galaxy M40 featuring the Infinity-O display.

Now, before we start discussing the specifications of the device, let’s learn about the Infinity-O display. Basically, the “O” symbolizes a singular front camera placed in the left, upper edge of the device. This is the same punch hole design we saw on the Galaxy S10 series. Coupled with a set of cameras on the rear of the device, the Samsung Galaxy M40 is set to launch on the 11th of next month in India, with a Snapdragon 675 SoC, triple rear cameras, rear fingerprint scanner, 6GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage.

The listing page is already live on Amazon India. You can sign up to be notified for updates. Rumors point towards the price of the device being around the ₹25k mark. Let us know how you feel about Samsung’s upcoming device and it’s price through a comment!
